Scott Barradell’s Story
I was always a sporty kid growing up, playing anything with a bat and a ball. I first played golf at the age of 12 and during my secondary school years, I would spend eight hours a day playing golf at Bacchus Marsh every school holiday period. On one day, as a 15-year-old, I played 90 holes, breaking 80 for every round. When I reached 16, I had to make a choice between cricket and golf and the decision was an easy one – I could play golf all year round and it’s a sport that can be enjoyed with others, or by yourself. I had always thought about becoming a school teacher so teaching golf was a perfect transition for me – I love the game, the constant challenge it presents me with as a player and I get great satisfaction working with others in the development of their own game.
